Hey!
I'm Robert Ningkan
I've always loved exploring new places. I remember how our family went travelling when I was 8 or 9 years old. The excitement I felt then is still the same today. The main difference now of course is that as an adult I am more interested to learn about different peoples and their cultures.By air. By the sea. By the land. On top of the peak. Obviously can have unexpected moments in between.I have travelled to some amazing places: Laos, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and the Czech Republic. And along the way I've had some amazing experiences from jungle trekking in Luang Prabang, exploring temples in Yogjakarta to city hopping in the UK. I'm sure there any more exciting trips to follow.I've travelled with my partner to many different countries in Asia and Europe. Maybe we can travel to other parts of the world one day. We prefer to travel slow in each place that we visit, using our own time to appreciate and enjoy the particular attractions that each place has to offer. Every location has its own unique qualities.I created this blog so that I can remember in words and pictures my own visits to, and experience of, some amazing places and share these stories with you - other fellow travellers. I hope that these stories can benefit those who are planning to travel and who are looking for travel guides and travel tips. I wanted travellers like you to use what I write and what I photograph to craft your own memories and adventures out on the road.Thank you for joining me and being a member of my travel community. THE STORY
About Unpack The Suitcase
The idea of Unpack the Suitcase came about after I had been reading some travel blogs. 2019 was the year that I took a long break from work and I've been fortunate in being able to spend some time travelling.
I want to share my knowledge and experience of the places that I have visited and that might connect with other travellers' ideas. It is a great way to share my travel stories through writing and photography with other travellers. Why not connect with them across the world online through this blog? What I'm hoping to generate is an exchange of ideas and inspirations so that we can learn through collaboration.
The world is only as large (or small) as the distance from A to B. I'm very excited to have you read my travel stories and check on my travel photographs. All the photographs are taken by me.
